Cancellation and Change Policy

Travel Insurance:

No baggage finders fees are non-refundable. I strongly recommend taking out travel insurance in case your plans change.

Personal Cancellation:

If you want to cancel your flights

What will happen is:

  • You will receive a full refund of the points and taxes less any airline cancellation fees.

  • Unfortunately, my fee is non-refundable. This is because the time and effort was spent in finding the original flight.

Personal Flight Changes:

If you want to change your flights and book new flights for another date or destination.

What will happen is:

  1. You will receive a full refund of the points and taxes less any airline cancellation fees.

  2. A 40% discount will be applied towards the new flight. Here’s why:

    • In an ideal world I would provide the replacement flight for free but the reality is it is the exact same work for me to find the new flight and the hours of work. Also, the fact that you’re changing a flight after the original booking means there will likely be less seats available, and much harder to find a suitable replacement.

    • I do understand however, that life happens and plans change which is why I offer the 40% discount to rebook

    • The 40% discount is valid for six months from when you decide on the date change

What about when the airline changes/cancels my flight?

If the airline makes the change, not you:

  • I will try my best to help you find an alternative

  • If something cannot be found, I will assist you in getting the points and taxes refunded by the airline

  • I recommend doing a travel insurance claim in this instance. Some travel insurances will compensate for ‘travel arranger fees’ which I can help facilitate

  • If travel insurance will not reimburse you I will provide a 40% discount for your next booking which is valid for 6 months from the date of change/cancellation

Airline changes/ cancellation fees (as of Dec 2024)

  • Qantas - 5,000 points for changes or 6,000 points for cancellation.

  • Virgin Velocity - 7,500 Points or $60 per person per booking for changes or cancellations.

  • Singapore - USD 25 per person for changes, USD 75 per person for cancellations.

  • Emirates - USD 25 per person for changes, USD 75 per person for cancellations.

  • Cathay - USD 25 or 1,000 miles for changes, USD 120 of 12,000 miles for cancellations.
